About Flex Loan
What is a Wells Fargo Flex Loan?
The Wells Fargo Flex Loan is a small-dollar loan available only to pre-approved Wells Fargo customers through their Wells Fargo Mobile® app.Footnote 1,Footnote 2 Flex Loan is available in the amounts of either $250 or $500, with a flat fee of $12 or $20, respectively. Funds are available within seconds. There are no application fees, hidden fees, late charges or interest charges. Flex Loan is limited to the Wells Fargo Mobile app® and is not available in Wells Fargo branches or over the phone.
How do I check for a Flex Loan offer?
Flex Loan is only offered to pre-approved customers based on certain criteria. You can check if you are pre-approved by signing in to your Wells Fargo Mobile® app and selecting Explore in the bottom navigation bar then select Loans.
How many Flex Loans can I have?
You can only have one open Flex Loan account at a time. In addition, you may only receive three Flex Loan offers over any 12-month period. Receiving one Flex Loan offer does not guarantee additional Flex Loan offers. Each offer is subject to eligibility rules.
Does a Flex Loan affect my credit score?
There is no impact to your credit score at the time when the Flex Loan offer is made. Your credit score may be impacted when you accept the loan. Further, late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report.
How do I view my Flex Loan balance?
You can view your Flex Loan balance and payment details by signing in to your Wells Fargo Mobile® app or Wells Fargo Online® account and selecting your Flex Loan in the Account Summary.
Where do I access my Flex Loan Agreement?
You can access your Flex Loan Agreement by signing in to your Wells Fargo Mobile® app or Wells Fargo Online® account, and clicking on your Flex Loan from Account Summary, and then selecting Manage account.
Payments and fees
Will I receive payment reminder alerts for my Flex Loan account?
When a payment is due or autopay is scheduled, a payment reminder alert is usually sent 5 calendar days in advance. We will send alerts to your email address or mobile device, as well as the Message Center within Wells Fargo Online.
We recommend that you regularly check your Message Center to ensure you’re receiving all of your Wells Fargo messages and alerts.
How can I make my loan payments?
Payments must be made online. There are two ways to make a payment:
Automatic payments:Footnote 3 You want the reassurance of having your Flex Loan payment processed automatically on the due date. You can set up recurring payments by signing in to your Wells Fargo Mobile® app or Wells Fargo Online® account.
Online transfer: You can make a one-time, same-day payment or schedule a future payment to your Flex Loan account by signing in to your Wells Fargo Mobile® app or Wells Fargo Online® account.
Are there any origination fees?
A fee is charged to originate a Flex Loan based on the loan amount.Footnote 4
Are there any late fees or interest charged?
There are no late fees or interest charges associated with a Flex Loan.
How is my monthly payment calculated?
Your Flex Loan monthly payment is determined by adding the loan amount and associated fee and splitting this into 4 equal monthly installments.Footnote 4
How often will payments be due?
Flex Loan payments are due in 4 monthly installments.Footnote 4
Can I change my Flex Loan payment due date?
No, you are unable to change your payment due date for a Flex Loan.
Can I pay more than the monthly amount due?
You can make payments for multiple installments. If you pay more than the regular amount due, the excess funds will be applied to future payments. This may push out your next payment due date and reduce your final loan balance.
Can I pay off my Flex Loan early?
You can pay off your outstanding Flex Loan balance in full at any time. There are no prepayment penalty fees. The origination fee would not be reduced if you pay off your loan early.

The fee for a $250 Flex Loan is $12 and a $500 Flex Loan is $20. The total cost to borrow for the $250 loan is reflected as an APR is 22.82% and for the $500 loan the total cost to borrow reflected as an APR is 19.05%. For example, on a $250 Flex Loan you will pay a total of $262 in 4 equal monthly payments of $65.50 each. Eligibility subject to change without notice.
